Joe Pardavila is the pop culture expert heard daily on 95.5 PLJ Radio in New York City.
He's also been seen on "Dish Nation", "The Wendy Williams Show", and "Showbiz Tonight" on HLN.
Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, in the shadow of New York City, Joe grew up dreaming of a career in show business. His nights were spent studying Johnny Carson, David Lettermen, Eddie Murphy, and the legendary comic minds of the 1980's.
A prepubescent Joe Pardavila would put together shows that included magic, music, and celebrity impressions for anyone who would placate him.
After a brief and unsuccessful run at William Paterson College in Wayne, New Jersey, Joe stumbled upon a job at NY's legendary radio station, 95.5 WPLJ. His first year was spent driving the prize van and handing out free t-shirts.
He was given a shot with the station's celebrated AM drive show, "Scott & Todd in the Morning" and nicknamed "Monk". He started as their phone screener, and soon began contributing on-air with his sarcastic charm and vast knowledge of pop culture. Eventually, Scott and Todd named him their Executive Producer in 2005.
He began studying Sketch & Improv Comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Comedy Theatre in 2014. He has studied with Anthony Atamanuik, Patrick Clair, Brian Faas, Erik Tanouye, Ben Wietmarschen, Frank Garcia Hejl, and taken workshops with many more wonderful teachers.
The former fat kid has completed 2 ING New York City Marathons in 2011 & 2013.
